January obsessions: things that ive been loving

February 1, 2019

Happy Wednesday, pals!

I wanted to share with y'all some things that I have tried and fallen completely in love with in January, just in case you're on the hunt for something similar! Or maybe you'll find something you didn't even know you needed!

I know, I know.
We are almost a week into February and this post is super late!

But I figure better late than never, right?

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream
If you have read some of my previous blog posts (here or here)  then you know I am in the process of switching all of my beauty products to cruelty-free products. This has been a process with lots of trial and error! A couple of weeks ago I read a post saying that covergirl was finally confirmed cruelty-free! So of course I ran to the BX right after work to try out this BB cream because I have been struggling to find a long lasting, light weight, everyday foundation. But y'all I can finally say - THIS IS IT and I am in love! (i wear in shade fair) It is perfect for my combo/slightly oily skin and it lasts my whole 8 hour work day and doesn't eve look bad after my work outs!

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
I have heard so many beauty bluffs rave about this so when I ran out of my bare minerals concealer that I would have had to order from Ulta, I decided to make another trip to the BX and give this stuff a try and once again, I was not disappointed! This is my new favorite go to concealer and the price and fact that I can get it local makes it even better! (i wear this in shade..)

Down Padded Jackets
Or as I like to call them - bubble coats I know these are so popular but I personally thought they were
just so ugly, no matter how high-end they were. Well coming from Tennessee did not prepare me for this German winter and my cute little pea-coats just were not cutting it anymore so I bucked up and bought one and I do not regret it one bit. Not only does it keep me so warm and cozy but they actually aren't as ugly as I had previously deemed them to be. I linked the exact one I bought above!
***this is currently on sale!!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
I received this in one of my IPSY packages and while I was a little hesitant to try this (because I have combo skin that tends to lean on the oily side) I did need a good, thick moisturizer to add to my skincare routine. And now i Have one! This surprisingly did not leave my skin feeling oily. I only use it at night as my last step right before bed and it leaves my skin hydrated and refreshed by morning!
This is my first time trying this brand but lots of people swear by it and I loved this products so I will be trying more from First Aid Beauty.

So Alec gives me so much crap for wearing scrunchies and he is not the only one. But y'all...scrunchies are back in style, they're cool, they're cute, and I don't care what anyone says! So if you're like me then you know its kinda hard to find all the bright colors you want but I found
this pack on Amazon and I have never been so excited for a small package.
I love all the colors in this pack, they're the perfect size, and they're amazing quality!

Sweet Nothings Scent from Yankee Candle
So funny story, I ordered three of these from Yankee Candle on BLACK FRIDAY during their sale...I received them on January 12th... This is one of the very few downsides to living overseas. Some
companies ship by boat instead of air and it takes soooo looong for your items to get her. BUT ANYWAYS this has been my favorite Yankee Candle scent since they came out with
it so I just had to share it with y'all! Its the perfect sweet, year round scent for when you're sick of the seasonal smells. ***these are also on sale online right now!

Crockpot White Chicken Chili
Random and totally unrelated to the other things listed above, I know. But I made this pinterest recipie and ate all of this, by myself inlike four days. It was so stinkin good and sooo easy! Perfect recipie for this last bit of winter

What are some items you have been loving this month?
