Where to Eat in Paris

November 4, 2019

My weekend in Paris was the best I have eaten in months!!

Every street is lined with adorable cafes and shops, and they're all amazing. Some of the best places to eat were places that we stumbled across, rather than the places I had spent so much time researching, hahaha

A prime example is this beautiful two story cafe we stumbled across in a city square near the Louvre.  The first floor is a traditional bakery with pastries and coffee to take on the go, but the second story is a beautiful sit down cafe with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the busy little square below. A perfect spot to relax, people watch, and enjoy great food. (big plus, they all speak great English) I kid you not when I say this is the best avocado toast I have ever had, and I eat a lot of avocado toast.

This was probably the tiniest cafe we entered our whole trip. But it was wonderful. The most quaint little place with amazing coffee and waffles and fun (English speaking) workers. It was in the Le Marais neighborhood, which is near the Notre Dame. Its slightly less populated but still a great place to spend some time shopping and exploring.
In this area is also the Shoah Memorial, which showcases the French involvement in the Holocaust. If you're a history nerd like me, this is a must see. Inside is also a book store where I got the book that I am reading now, The Paris Photo.

Now this place is very well known, but highly underrated. It is such a chic location and is the true epitome of a Parisian Cafe. You can sit outside and people watch with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower! We sat outside even though it was so cold because they had heaters!! It was also one of the only places open so early when we went to catch the sunrise over Trocadero. I know it sounds silly, but these scrambled eggs were literally incredible! Cafe du Trocadero is a place you cannot skip out on!

Other recommended restaurants:
Vapiano (look for one of these anywhere you go in Europe, seriously my favorite restaurant)
Girafe (reserve as far out as possible!)

let me know, if you make it to Paris, which places did you try!?
